Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that Harvey Elliott can replace Xherdan Shaqiri in the team, according to The Athletic.
What’s the story?
The Athletic reported yesterday that Shaqiri has told Liverpool that he wants to leave this summer.
Lazio and Napoli are reportedly interested in the 29-year-old winger.
Former Premier League champions Liverpool are looking for £12 million as transfer fee for the Switzerland international winger.
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.
The Athletic are reporting this morning that Liverpool manager Klopp believes that Elliott, 18, can replace Shaqiri in the team.

Sensible idea?
Elliott spent last season on loan at Cardiff City in the Championship and did extremely well.
The 18-year-old winger scored seven goals and gave 11 assists in 31 Championship starts for the Bluebirds.
The former Fulham youngster is very talented and promising, and it would make sense for Klopp to simply use him in the squad if Xhaqiri leaves.

It’s not as if Xhaqiri was a big figure at Liverpool, especially last season.
The 29-year-old, who has had injury problems, made five starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League.
The winger also made one start and four substitute appearances in the Champions League for the Reds last season.
