Celtic have agreed a deal to sign Royal Antwerp defender Aurelio Buta as they finally bring in a new right back for Ange Postecoglou.
That’s according to Walfoot in Belgium, who state that the deal is agreed and could become official very soon.
Celtic have allegedly agreed to pay €3.5million (£3million) to sign Buta, and the Portuguese ace has played his final game for Royal Antwerp by facing Mechelen on Sunday.
Buta recorded an assist in that game, meaning he signed off from Belgian football on something of a personal high.
Voetbal Nieuws reported on Monday that Celtic had offered £2.15million and were just £850,000 away from a deal with talks progressing well.
Hopes were dampened a little last night when Fabrizio Romano stated that the move had ‘gone quiet’ after Celtic’s first bid for Buta.

It now looks like Celtic have come back to the negotiating table and paid the fee Royal Antwerp want, with Buta now seemingly heading for Glasgow.
The 24-year-old has blistering pace and great attacking ability, and will finally give Postecoglou a quality option in that area of the pitch at a reasonable price.
Previously wanted by Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City, Buta has been eyed for Premier League moves and could make Celtic a cool profit in the future if he continues to develop.
