Kyle Walker, Raheem Sterling and John Stones gave Harry Kane advice over where to live as Manchester City eye a transfer for the Tottenham Hotspur striker, according to The Sun.

The quartet spent the early part of the summer together in the England camp competing at Euro 2020. And Walker, Sterling and Stones used it as a chance to offer Kane some words of wisdom as Pep Guardiola eyes a deal with Tottenham to strengthen Manchester City.

Walker has a closer bond with Kane from their time together in north London. The defender played 98 games with the striker at Tottenham, plus 42 for England. They have combined for three goals for club and country, as well, since first playing together in September 2011.

Kane has also played more international fixtures alongside Sterling than any other England player. The forwards have been on the pitch together 46 times over Kane’s 61-caps to date, while combining for 13 goals. It is also Kane’s best partnership by six, to Marcus Rashford.

Guardiola will likely hope Walker, Sterling and Stones’ work will help convince Kane to join Manchester City from Tottenham. Sky Sports reported ahead of Euro 2020 that Kane told Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy he wants to leave north London.

The Manchester Evening News also note Kane has made it clear that he wants to leave Tottenham for Manchester City. And he could get the move, as The Sun now add that the 27-year-old is set to sign a £400,000-per-week contract at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City have allegedly agreed to pay Tottenham £160m for the England captain after Levy caved to letting Kane leave. Meaning Guardiola may soon have more homegrown talents in the Citizens ranks, alongside Walker, Stones and Sterling.

Tottenham to lose ‘world-class’ player in Kane’s £160m Manchester City move

Tottenham will lose a world-class player in Kane should he complete the supposed £160m move to Manchester City. And it will not take the striker long to get settled at the Etihad with England teammates – and purported aids – Walker, Stones and Sterling there.

Kane topped both the scoring and assisting charts in the Premier League last term with 23 and 14 respectively. He now sits seventh in the all-time Premier League scoring chart with 166 goals, but could end 2021/22 fifth with an as-impressive campaign next term.

Rio Ferdinand also hailed Kane back in March, saying the Tottenham striker was ideal for Manchester United. He noted on Twitter: “I love Kane, would take him at Man Utd every day of the week! The fella is world-class.”
