Rio Ferdinand has heaped praise upon Tottenham striker Harry Kane, proclaiming him to be a world-class player and saying he’d take him at Manchester United.
Ferdinand went on the record to talk about Kane earlier this week, again praising him, but his comments were taken a little out of context by talkSPORT who were discussing the idea that Ferdinand had said he’s not worthy of a big move.
The ex-England captain took to social media to clear up his view on Kane, once and for all saying how much he rates him, and stating that he’d love to see him play for Manchester United.
As much as Ferdinand would love to see Kane turn out for Man United one day, that may just be a pipe dream.
It’s hard to imagine the Tottenham striker swapping north London for Manchester at this point in his career, but the fact that Ferdinand rates him so highly is a big compliment.
Ferdinand’s initial point about Kane moving was largely about him deserving to win trophies, and we have to agree that the striker certainly deserves to win a bit of silverware before his career is over.
Fingers crossed he can lead Spurs to a few titles.
