Jamie O’Hara has joked on Twitter that Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe should give some fee to Aston Villa.
Emith Rowe has signed a new contract with Arsenal, dealing a transfer blow to Villa.
The London Evening Standard reported last week that Villa have had two bids for the attacking midfielder turned down by Arsenal.
The Villans’ first offer was £25 million, and the second bid was £30 million.
Arsenal were always adamant that they will not sell the 20-year-old, who has now put pen to paper on a new long-term contract.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder O’Hara has joked on Twitter that Smith Rowe should give Villa “a little fee” after signing his new deal, suggesting that the Villans’ interest helped in his contract negotiations.

End result was always clear
Leaving Arsenal for Villa was always unlikely for Smith Rowe.
After all, the attacking midfielder has come through the youth academy at Arsenal and replaced Mesut Ozil in the team last season.
The Gunners were simply not going to sell Smith Rowe this summer, and it was always very, very unlikely that Villa would be able to sign him.
