Dean Jones has told the Football Terrace that Tottenham are going to be ‘one of the most exciting’ clubs during this summer transfer window.

The Eurosport journalist also added that ‘the only thing certain’ about Tottenham’s summer transfer plans is Heung-Min Son signing a new contract.

Not only do Tottenham have a new manager in the dugout, but also a fresh face running their transfer ship in Fabio Paratici.

Jones shared why Spurs are the ones to look out for, as over a month remains before the 2021 summer transfer window slams shut.

“I think Tottenham are one of the most exciting clubs to look out for,” said Jones. “Not only do they have a new boss, but they also have the Harry Kane situation.

“They have new signings coming in. Daniel Levy says that COVID has cost him £200 million. They have lost revenue.

“They thought they were going to get Gareth Bale back. Now, that’s looking all very uncertain and very unlikely, so it’s all up in the air.

“The only thing that’s certain is that Heung-Min Son is going to commit himself to the club, which is good news. But when he agreed on those terms a few months ago, the landscape looked different to what it is now.”

The one piece of transfer news that all Spurs fans want to hear is Kane staying put, or even better signing a new deal.

Now, given the rumours circulating about the Englishman, it’s pretty unlikely he’ll sign a new deal, but there is always the possibility he will stay put.

Daniel Levy’s previous stubborn ways and only-on-his-terms-attitude is going to be needed if Manchester City push the boat out for Kane this summer.
