According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are interested in signing Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham this summer.

The Gunners could certainly do with a new centre-forward, especially after it was reported earlier this week that they’re aggressively marketing Alexandre Lacazette to other clubs around Europe, and Abraham certainly fits the bill.

Unfortunately, the article states that Arsenal will need to sell players before making this move.

The Chelsea striker fell down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge last season after the arrival of Timo Werner, but let’s not forget, he was a potent goalscorer under Frank Lampard.

Indeed, he once scored 15 Premier League goals in a single season for the Blues, and if he can replicate those types of numbers for Arsenal, he’d be a real asset for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Abraham is highly rated amongst his peers as well, with his former Aston Villa teammate Jack Grealish labelling him as ‘unbelievable’.

The striker would certainly score goals for the Gunners, especially if they can land this new creative number 10 that they’re reportedly in the market for.

Of course, signing a 23-year-old England international striker from one of your biggest rivals isn’t going to be cheap, with the report stating that the Blues want £40m for the striker this summer.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
