According to Calciomercato, Leeds have a ‘super’ offer ready for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nández, who’s a top target for Marcelo Bielsa.
What’s the story?
Well, Leeds have been pursuing the 40-cap Uruguay international for most of this summer, by the sounds of it.
It was said that a deal was ‘done’ for the South American, but the only issue was regarding the structure of the payment.
Now, Calciomercato believe Leeds have returned to Cagliari with a ‘super’ offer, and are determined to close the deal quickly with Inter Milan lurking.
Calciomercato add that the fresh negotiation started by Leeds could soon have a positive outcome, in what is very encouraging news.
Marcelo Bielsa seems desperate to have him

Some have said that Nández is Bielsa’s top target this summer.
Elsewhere, it has been written that the Argentine has wanted the Cagliari workhorse for years now – since 2019, to be exact.
In that respect, it’s no surprise to see Victor Orta persist in negotiations with the Serie A outfit.

If Leeds do get this over the line, then they’ll have a terrific player on their hands who seems tailor-made for Bielsa’s intense style.
According to his fellow Uruguayan Rodrigo Bentancur, Nández is a player who leaves every last drop of sweat out on the pitch.
If that doesn’t make him an ideal Bielsa player, we don’t know what will.
