Raheem Sterling told ITV on Tuesday evening that it’s ‘brilliant’ playing alongside Arsenal and Aston Villa duo, Bukayo Saka and Jack Grealish.
There have been weeks of speculation linking Sterling with Arsenal, but he’s putting all of that behind him after he scored his second goal of Euro 2020 against the Czech Republic last night.
The Three Lions, with Sterling, Saka and Grealish all starting, played their part in England winning their final group game of the tournament.
All three players were quality on the night, especially Saka and Grealish who were the standout performers, especially in the first half.
It was Saka’s lung-busting run that resulted in the ball being played out wide, before Grealish worked his magic and laid the ball on a plate for Sterling to score the only goal of the game during the first period.
After the match, this is what Sterling had to say about Grealish and Saka.
“They got in the pockets really well,” said Sterling. “Turned with the ball and were positive.
“It’s brilliant to have these players around you that can create goals – the two that came in today and Henderson are massive in what we do.”

At the age of just 19, Saka is showing footballing intelligence beyond his years and that was proven out on the Wembley pitch yesterday.
In his first start at a major tournament, the versatile teenager toyed with the Czech Republic’s backline by picking up space with ease, using his speed to attack their backline and then constantly working the opposition’s penalty area.
And after he didn’t play a single minute during the first two group matches, Gareth Southgate has to surely now consider starting Saka for that knockout game next Tuesday.
