Arsenal are said to be keen to sign Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin by the Telegraph.

Arsenal are on the hunt for a new forward and Calvert-Lewin is now believed to be on Mikel Arteta’s side’s radar.

Of course, for Arsenal to afford any transfer they would presumably have to raise significant funds from player sales this summer.

Everton will be determined to keep hold of Calvert-Lewin on the back of what has been his best season to date.

Jamie Carragher went as far as to say on TalkSPORT that he now considers Calvert-Lewin to be the third best striker in the Premier League.

If he was to join Arsenal he could be a highly appealing addition to what is a squad which is packed with potential.

The 24-year-old still has room to develop, but managed to hit 16 Premier League goals last term and force his way into the England squad for Euro 2020.

Calvert-Lewin’s aerial ability would offer Arsenal a new threat up-front.

But The Sun say that Everton value the forward at around £50 million, which would make him an extremely expensive purchase for the Gunners.
