Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Arsenal are looking at Everton defender, Jonjoe Kenny.
The 24-year-old struggled during his brief time in Celtic colours, and has also found it difficult to make the grade at Goodison Park, but somehow he’s on Arsenal’s transfer list.
The Daily Mail claim that Arsenal are looking to add cover on the right side of their defence and Kenny is emerging as a possible option for the North London club.
Given what Celtic fans had to watch during Kenny’s time at the club, it’s no surprise that they are shocked at what the Gunners are seemingly planning.
Kenny moved to Parkhead in January, as his game time reduced at Goodison Park, but he wasn’t at all convincing in Glasgow.
That six-month loan deal started with the potential hope of him signing on a permanent basis, but ended with him leaving a club that produced its worst season in a decade.
Therefore, it has to be asked why Arsenal, who are looking to refresh their squad and re-build again, are looking towards his talents.
It does seem as though Hector Bellerin could be heading for the Arsenal exit door, and with Cedric not making the desired impact he would have liked, a new right-back is needed.
It’s going to be interesting to see how all of this pans out and what names Arsenal bring through their doors.
