Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady has told the official England podcast that he has been very impressed wth Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground.

England have trained at Spurs lodge for a while, between their games with Croatia and Czech Republic.

Tottenham have offered the Three Lions’ squad full use of their training facilities.

And Coady had only positive words to say about the complex in his latest interview.

“It’s some place,” he said. “It’s lovely. It’s a nice change of scenery for one.

“We’ve been based at St. George’s and that’s incredible, but I think as a change of scenery for a couple of days in between games it’s been fantastic.

“I love it here, it’s a real homely place, to be honest with you, so it’s been good.”

Great base

Coady is not the only England player who has been impressed by Tottenham’s training ground, as Tyrone Mings also spoke positively about it.

Tottenham are renowned to have some of the best facilities in world football now.

Spurs have worked hard to renovate their training ground to make it one of the most modern in the Premier League, and can now also boast one of the best stadiums in the world.

Despite all that investment off the field, Spurs haven’t progressed as many had hoped on the pitch of late.

Tottenham struggled last season, and they still haven’t find a new manager to take charge since Jose Mourinho’s departure.

England’s players will, meanwhile, continue to train at Spurs lodge for one more day – with their next game set to take place tomorrow against the Czech Republic.
