According to Football London, Tottenham’s new Director of Football Fabio Paratici likes Nuno Espirito Santo.
What’s the story?
Well, the Portuguese coach has been unemployed for a number of weeks now, after being sacked by Wolves.
Towards the end of May, The Athletic claimed that Tottenham had no interest in hiring the 47-year-old.
Now, however, following the arrival of Paratici, things could change.
Football London claim that those close to the Italian believe he admires Nuno as a coach, in what is an interesting development.
Nuno seemed close to the Crystal Palace job at one stage, although talks fell through at the final hurdle.
Seeing as he’s still available, it will be interesting to see if Paratici acts on his admiration for the ex-Porto boss.
Nuno wants the Everton job

Here comes the spanner in the works.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Nuno actually wants to replace Carlo Ancelotti and become the new Everton manager.
Whether he holds that stance while being aware of Paratici’s admiration for him is a mystery.
Tottenham are a bigger club than the Toffees at this stage, so it’s possible that Nuno could change his mind if Spurs make an official approach, in our view.

Nuno has been out of work for a while, so in our view, it would be quite embarrassing if Daniel Levy hired him.
Spurs have wasted so much time on other candidates, so if they hire a man who’s been available the entire time, it wouldn’t be a good look.
Hopefully, both Tottenham and Everton’s managerial woes come to an end soon.
