According to Football London, Arsenal are preparing a second bid for Brighton defender Ben White after their first offer was rejected.
What’s the story?
Well, the Gunners submitted a bid worth £40 million for the 23-year-old, which was swiftly rejected by the Seagulls.
Now, Arsenal are planning a second offer worth £45 million for the England international, who is currently at EURO 2020 with the Three Lions.
Football London believe Brighton want £50 million for their academy graduate, who excelled during his debut season in the Premier League.
However, the north Londoners are hoping to agree a deal below that sum and find a compromise with Graham Potter’s side.
White’s agent has visited London Colney, and there is optimism that a deal can be struck.
Mikel Arteta wants more than just Ben White
Interestingly, Football London add that Arsenal have made a number of bids in recent days.
It is said that the Gunners have sent offers for four players over the past week.

Sadly, Football London do not reveal who these players are, although it’s safe to say one of their identities is clear.
One of those could be Edmond Tapsoba, who Arsenal believe is a ‘perfect’ defender to bring to the Emirates Stadium.
As the Evening Standard revealed, the Gunners have bid for Anderlecht maestro Albert Sambi Lokonga.
A £13 million offer is said to have been sent to the Belgian outfit, although it was rejected.

While this might disappoint some Arsenal fans, there’s nothing wrong with having a bid rejected this early.
The transfer window only opened on June 9th, so it’s encouraging to see Arsenal know their targets, and are already moving to sign them.
Keep an eye on Edu and Arteta’s activity in the market, with a second bid for White seemingly set to be submitted.
