According to both The Scottish Sun and The Daily Record, Celtic could now bring their former defender Erik Sviatchenko back to Parkhead.
Ange Postecoglou has been appointed as Celtic’s new manager, and may now be looking to bolster his Bhoys squad.
At least one new centre back will be needed, but rather than go for somebody new, Celtic could go back to a former Bhoy.
Sviatchenko back to Celtic?
It’s suggested from two sources that Midtjylland defender Sviatchenko could become Postecoglou’s first Celtic signing in a shock return to Glasgow.
Sviatchenko allegedly feels he has unfinished business at Celtic and may fancy a return just over three years since leaving.
The 29-year-old is thought to have a release clause in his Midtjylland contract, whilst Celtic face competition from unnamed Premier League sides.

How has Sviatchenko fared since leaving Parkhead?
Sviatchenko captained Midtjylland to the Danish title in 2020, but hasn’t managed to land a spot in Denmark’s Euro 2020 squad.
The 6ft 1in centre back admitted that his Celtic exit was ‘annoying’, with Brendan Rodgers offloading him in a move that didn’t really pay off.
Sviatchenko is nearing 30 though, and whilst letting him go may have been a mistake, bringing him back would be something of a risk.
