Leeds United are ready to pay £40 million for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore, according to Eurosport.
What’s the story?
The report has claimed that Leeds are interested in signing Traore from Premier League rivals Wolves in the summer transfer window.
The Whites have a long-standing interest in the Spain international winger.
And now, the West Yorkshire club are ready to act.
Wolves have valued the 25-year-old at £80 million in the past.
However, Leeds are prepared to pay half of that amount, that is, £40 million.
That would make Traore the Whites’ record signing in history.
According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Rodrigo is Leeds’s record arrival at £27 million.
The Spaniard moved from Valencia last summer.

Good signing for Leeds United?
Traore is a very good winger who has improved in recent seasons.
Yes, the winger scored only two goals and gave just two assists in the Premier League this past season.
But, with his pace, dribbling skills and strength, Traore would be an asset to Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa.
The former Barcelona and Aston Villa man would give another dimension to the Leeds attack.
Traore, who has been praised by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola in the past, is with Spain at the Euro 2020 finals at the moment.
