Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson was in action for Scotland today, and his performance against the Czech Republic impressed football fans on Twitter, as shown below.

Robertson started for Scotland in their Euro 2020 Group D game against the Czech Republic at Hampden Park in Glasgow this afternoon.

The Liverpool left-back is the Scotland captain, and he was leading by example today.

Steve Clarke’s side, who were missing Arsenal star Kieran Tierney due to injury, actually lost the match 2-0.

It was a disappointing display from the Scots, although the second goal from the Czech Republic was superb.

Robertson started at left wing-back and was a big attacking threat.

The left-back took one shot which was on target, played six key passes, had a pass accuracy of 75.6%, won one header, took 80 touches, attempted three dribbles, made one tackle, one interception and two clearances, and put in 15 crosses.

Robertson was arguably the best player on the pitch for Scotland, and you have to wonder what would have happened if he had another player of his level on his team today.

Fans, not just of Scotland or Liverpool but of rival teams as well, were impressed by the display produced by the 27-year-old and have praised him on Twitter.
