Sebastiaan Bornauw admits he would be ‘crazy to refuse’ a summer move away from FC Koln with a Premier League duo Norwich City and Crystal Palace linked, while speaking to Sport/Voetbalmagazine.
When you consider that so many Koln players have been linked with a big-money departure from the Cathedral City in recent weeks, it is easy to forget that one of Germany’s biggest and best-supported clubs only secured their top-flight status via the relegation play-offs.
But Bornauw, Ellyes Skhiri, Ismail Jakobs and co still emerged from a difficult season with their reputations enhanced.
Bornauw, the 22-year-old centre-half who scored a dramatic final-day goal against Schalke which saved Koln from automatic relegation, has been tipped to make a potential £13 million move to Crystal Palace.
The Express, meanwhile, reports that Bornauw would choose a newly-promoted Norwich City side over a Wolfsburg outfit who qualified for the Champions League last month, should an offer from Carrow Road arrive.

“It’s not that I really want to leave,” said the two-time Belgium international.
“But if the opportunity now arises to take a step (forwards), I would be crazy to refuse.”
Norwich have made a habit of raiding German football for talented youngsters in recent years. And Bornauw has emerged as one of their top defensive targets, with Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer expected to move elsewhere.
Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are in the market a new central defender or two with Gary Cahill, Mamadou Sakho, Martin Kelly and Scott Dann all out of contract next month.
