Wolverhampton Wanderers have shown a ‘serious interest’ in goalkeeper Jose Sa with Rui Patricio’s potential replacement hoping to leave Olympiakos during the transfer window, as reported by SportTime.
Since the start of last summer, Wolves have lost Nuno Espirito Santo, Diogo Jota and Matt Doherty, with reports suggesting that Arsenal target Ruben Neves, as well as Adama Traore and Rui Patricio, could continue the exodus over the next couple of weeks.
The Wolves side that takes to the field at the start of 2021/22 could be almost unrecognisable from the one that came oh-so close to reaching the Europa League semi-finals just ten months ago.
Neves and Traore have both been linked with Premier League rivals but, if reports are to be believed, contract-rebel shot-stopper Patricio may be the first out the door.
Jose Mourinho’s Roma are closing in on an £8 million deal for the 33-year-old former Sporting Lisbon ace, who has made it clear that he will not be extending his contract at Molineux.
Is Jose Sa going to replace Rui Patricio at Wolves?
It will come as a surprise to absolutely no one, however, to learn that Patricio’s place between the sticks could be taken by a Portuguese-speaker represented by Jorge Mendes.

Fabrizio Romano was the first to suggest that Jose Sa could be on his way to the Black Country.
Now, Greek publication SportTime has shed more light on the situation, backing up Romano’s claims while adding that Sa has his heart set on a big-money move away from Olympiakos two years after the Greek champions signed him from Porto.
At 28, Sa is five years younger than Patricio and, like his veteran compatriot, uses his 6ft 4ins frame to command his penalty area with real authority.
Valued at £13 million, Sa has lifted three league titles in his career, one with Porto and two at Olympiakos.
