Tottenham Hotspur are focusing on keeping their star striker Harry Kane, but they have real hopes for Troy Parrott moving forward.

Kane’s future will dominate the summer window, as he wants to leave Tottenham according to various reports.

Daniel Levy obviously wants to keep Kane, but there are also three strikers emerging in the youth ranks at Tottenham – including Parrott.

Tottenham’s next crop of strikers

Dane Scarlett really emerged as a top talent last season, and he may have even surpassed Parrott as Tottenham’s big attacking hope.

Parrott still has potential at just 19, but scored only two goals in 18 games on loan at Ipswich Town earlier this year.

Don’t forget about Kion Etete either, the 19-year-old striker who scored nine times in 21 games at Premier League 2 level last season.

Arter raves about Tottenham talent Parrott

Ireland international Harry Arter has now claimed to the Sunday World that he knew all about Parrott for years thanks to Scott Parker.

Arter believes that Parrott has ‘something different’ and is a ‘unique’ striker, believing that he can become a star for Ireland after bagging a brace against Andorra last week.

“I knew about Troy because Scott was his under-18 coach at Tottenham and he was one of the boys that had something different about him from a young age,” said Arter.

“He has some unique qualities and they have been in evidence since he was very young. We saw a glimpse of that the other night in Andorra with his two goals, and it should give him confidence that he can do it at international level. At the moment, we are lacking goals and no one has really taken that attacking position and made it their own, so Troy has a chance to do that moving forward,” he added.

With fears over Kane’s future, having such a highly-regarded young striker is encouraging for Spurs, but Parrott really needs to kick on next season after a frustrating campaign.
