According to The Sun, Daniel Levy will not sanction a part-exchange deal involving Tottenham Hotspur’s star striker Harry Kane.

Kane allegedly wants to leave Tottenham this summer, but Levy wants at least £150million if he is to even think about a deal.

This report states that Levy doesn’t want ‘cast-offs’ from Premier League rivals in order to try and bring the price down.

Manchester City’s swap ideas for Tottenham star Kane

Last week, The Sun suggested that City would offer Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus in a bid to sign Kane.

Sterling to Spurs always seemed bizarre, and it’s now stated that Levy knows Tottenham simply can’t afford his £300,000-a-week wages. Arsenal were claimed to be favourites, so Spurs pulling out could be a small boost even if them paying that kind of money seems equally unlikely.

Levy also doesn’t think Sterling or Jesus would want to drop from the Premier League winners and Champions League finalists for a team in the Europa Conference League, so that swap idea looks to be dead.

Martial to Tottenham fades again

One report from the Daily Mail last month claimed that Spurs were thinking about asking for Anthony Martial if Manchester United came knocking for Kane.

United seem willing to let Martial go six years after a £58million move from Monaco, and Spurs have been long-standing admirers.

However, with Levy not interested in part-exchange deals, it looks like Martial to Spurs won’t be happening once again.

Chelsea’s comical swap plan

This also dents Chelsea’s hopes, but their swap idea was hilarious. Tammy Abraham and Kepa Arrizabalaga? In a deal for Harry Kane? Really?

Spurs could get something out of Abraham, but ideally having him as well as Kane rather than instead of, whilst Kepa really does come into the ‘cast-off’ category. Levy is certainly right to turn away from that proposal, and the £150million fee may be prohibitive to any club.
