Leeds United may have received a boost in their pursuit of Matheus Cunha, with Hertha Berlin now allegedly targeting Mohamed Elyounoussi.
VG in Norway report that Hertha want to sign Elyounoussi this summer, though Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg are also keen.
Southampton allegedly intend to keep Elyounoussi after two years on loan at Celtic, but Leeds will be hoping a deal is struck with Hertha.
Leeds’ interest in Cunha
The Whites are always linked with numerous players, and Brazilian forward Cunha is one of main names in the mix.
Sky Germany and Calciomercato reported last month that Leeds want to sign Cunha in a €30million (£26million) move this summer.
Cunha hit seven goals and six assists in 27 games for Hertha this past season, and could join fellow Brazilian ace Raphinha at Elland Road.

How Elyounoussi interest helps Leeds’ cause
Cunha is a versatile player, but spent most of last season playing in from the left flank. He occasionally plays off the striker, but left-wing was his main position.
That’s exactly where Elyounoussi plays, cutting in from the left. Elyounoussi also has experience playing up front or behind a striker, just like Cunha.
Hertha may be looking at a replacement for Nemanja Radonijc with his Marseille loan spell over, but the initial reports about Cunha suggested the Serbian would likely return to Hertha.
By targeting Elyounoussi too, Leeds may well hope that this means Hertha are preparing for life after Cunha.
