According to Gianluca di Marzio, Crystal Palace have submitted a bid for Saša Lukić, who is also wanted by Tottenham.

What’s the story?

Well, the Italian journalist has revealed that the Eagles have made an offer for the 18-cap Serbia international.

Spartak Moscow have also submitted a bid for the 24-year-old’s services.

The Russian side can offer Lukić Champions League football, so you would be forgiven for thinking he’d choose them over Crystal Palace.

However, Di Marzio writes that the Torino midfielder is actually extremely interested in either move.

Lukić would be keen to play Premier League football, and equally keen to appear in the Champions League with Spartak Moscow.

However, Crystal Palace could face some more intense competition for the Serbian, if one side firms up their interest.

Tottenham are also interested in Saša Lukić

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Tottenham are also keen to sign Torino’s No.7.

The Italian news outlet – who described Lukić as a jewel in their article – believe Spurs will challenge the south Londoners for his signature.

In our view, Crystal Palace could ask Luka Milivojević to have a word with the midfielder.

The pair know each other well, as they have lined up together for Serbia.

Milivojević and Lukić have played a total of three matches with each other while on international duty.

Di Marzio does not state how much Crystal Palace have offered.

However, he’s clearly someone Steve Parish wants at Selhurst Park, as a bid has been submitted before a replacement for Roy Hodgson has been found.

Now, it will be interesting to see if Daniel Levy responds, as he too is yet to find a replacement for José Mourinho.
