According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Liverpool have not made an approach to Leeds United for Raphinha.

The report has claimed that Liverpool have never declared interest in the £17 million winger or even asked Leeds about the Brazilian’s availability.

This report comes following intense speculation that the Reds are keen on the 24-year-old winger.

Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari claimed on Twitter earlier today that Liverpool are leading the race for the winger.

Manchester United and Manchester City are also reported to be keen on the winger.

The Mirror reported in March interest from Liverpool and Manchester United in the 24-year-old Brazilian.

However, just days later, Leeds Director of Football Victor Orta dismissed suggestions that the club will sell the winger this summer.

Raphinha joined Leeds from Rennes only last summer for £17 million (YEP).

The winger was superb for Leeds this past season.

The Leeds No. 18 made 26 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Whites.

The winger scored six goals and gave nine assists in those games.

Described as “unbelievable” by Leeds teammate Luke Ayling on Super Six Podcast in April, Raphinha has been a pleasure to watch and the Elland Road club’s fans simply love him.
