According to Eurosport, West Ham United are pushing to finalise a deal for Spartak Moscow ace Alex Kral quickly ahead of Euro 2020.

It’s claimed that the deal ‘could be completed’ before the tournament kicks off next Friday, with the Hammers keen to avoid disappointment.

They don’t want to risk Kral starring for the Czech Republic in the Euros, potentially adding new suitors to the race for his signature.

West Ham are now trying to rush through a deal over the next week or so, with Kral becoming their number one target right now.

The Hammers are no strangers to signing Czech stars, having landed both Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal from Slavia Prague last year.

Kral played with both at Slavia and is a regular for the Czech national team with the Hammers duo, and joining them seems to be a very real possibility.

Kral was even spotted with Soucek and Coufal over the weekend as they attended Slavia’s final game of their unbeaten league season.

Agent Karol Kisel – who represents Coufal as well as Kral – has also confirmed that talks have been held with West Ham over a deal for the midfielder.

The Mirror suggested last month that a deal would cost around £14million, and it’s all pointing in the right direction for the Hammers.

Kral, 23, is a hard-working and tenacious holding midfielder, and he admitted last month that he looks up to the likes of Toni Kroos and Frenkie de Jong.

By adding another holding midfielder, David Moyes is protecting himself just in case a ludicrous offer comes in for Declan Rice, and is giving himself the platform to go with Rice and Kral together, freeing up Soucek to get further forward.
