Andros Townsend has said on talkSPORT that Mauricio Pochettino will not go back to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The former Tottenham winger worked with Pochettino when the latter was in charge of Spurs.
The outgoing Crystal Palace star has said that although the Argentine loves Tottenham, he cannot see him leave PSG after just a few months and return to the Premier League club.
Sky Sports have reported that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wants to bring Pochettino back to the club.
The former Southampton manager is reportedly in talks with Tottenham.
Townsend said on talkSPORT: “Of course, he loves Spurs but I don’t think it’s time yet, I think. He went to PSG to answer those questions, to put those questions to bed, oh Pochettino can’t win anything, all these questions, nice manager, good football, but can’t win anything.
“If he leaves now, he is left with even more questions. It is a one-horse race and he finished second, but a manager like Pochettino, it takes time to improve the squad. It’s all about hard work on the training pitch. I can’t see him leaving less than a year into his project at PSG.”

Back to Tottenham Hotspur?
Pochettino was appointed the PSG boss only in January 2021.
PSG could not win the Ligue 1 title or the Champions League this season.
However, there is no indication yet that PSG are planning to sack the 49-year-old.
And it is unlikely that PSG will do so.
After all, the French giants appointed Pochettino just a few months ago.
It is not easy for any manager to make an impact without having a summer transfer window and without a full season.
However, Pochettino reportedly being in talks with Tottenham suggests that he is open to leaving PSG.
The Argentine will probably have to resign if he wants to move to Spurs.
Or maybe the North London club will have to pay PSG some kind of compensation fee.
That Pochettino is claimed to be in talks with Tottenham suggests that he is at least open to a return to the North London club.
