Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has been raving over reported Liverpool target Jadon Sancho, claiming that he’d love to see the winger sign for Manchester United.
While Ferdinand dreams of Sancho signing for United, the reality is that the England international could end up joining their biggest rivals as Liverpool have shown a strong interest in Sancho in recent weeks.
Ferdinand clearly rates Sancho very highly, claiming that he would light up the Premier League if he were to come to England.
“Dortmund need Sancho and he was brilliant from Christmas onwards, and he helped them qualify for the Champions League. He’s been magnificent Sancho and if he came to Manchester United he would light this place up. He’s one who I’d love to see come to United,” Ferdinand said.
Sancho to Manchester United is certainly a possibility, but you can’t write off the idea of him signing for Liverpool either.
The Reds certainly need another elite attacker through the door this summer, and if reports are to be believed, Sancho could be that man.
As Ferdinand says though, Dortmund need Sancho, so he won’t come cheaply. However, after Liverpool secured a place in next season’s Champions League, they may have the financial muscle to get a deal like this over the line.
Sancho’s situation is certainly one to keep an eye on this summer.
