Speaking on the Spurs Versus Podcast, Micky Hazard has claimed that Tottenham should be considering Ossie Ardiles as an option to be their next manager.
Spurs of course need a new boss after sacking Jose Mourinho, and Hazard believes that the London club need a boss who knows the history and the traditions of the club.
He says, that in his opinion, either Ardiles or Jurgen Klinsmann should be appointed.
“Well in my biased decision I’d appoint someone like Osvaldo Ardiles or Klinsmann. Even as a team I’m sort of biased because I’m a great believer in recruiting the Tottenham way, people who know the history and traditions of this great football club and are able to implement it, so I’m a great believer in that, but if you push that aside, I’d love to see Bielsa,” Hazard said.

Hazard of course knows Ardiles from his playing days, but we can’t see the logic in appointing him as Tottenham’s next manager.
Yes, Spurs fans love him, but he’s already proven that he’s not the greatest manager in the world.
In fact, Ardiles has already managed Spurs in the past, and it’s fair to say that his tenure as Tottenham boss was a bit of a disaster, winning just 16 of his 55 games in charge, giving him a winning percentage of just 29 per cent.
Klinsmann on the other hand would be a much more interesting proposition. He of course knows the club well and he has more managerial pedigree behind him, being a former Bayern Munich boss and an ex-Germany manager.
It remains to be seen who Spurs appoint, but it would be something of a shock if they took Hazard’s opinion on board and appointed either Ardiles or Klinsmann as their next manager.
