Jamie Redknapp has said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:20pm, May 8, 2021) that Liverpool midfielder Thiago will be at his best next season.
The former Liverpool midfielder has said that Thiago is a world-class footballer, and believes that the Spain international central midfielder will show his class during the 2021-22 campaign.
Redknapp said about Thiago on Sky Sports Premier League (10:20pm, May 8, 2021): “I think going forward next season when all the players are fit, we are going to see the real player and the real star that he is. It hasn’t been his best season, I cannot dress it I any other way, but I think in terms of talent and ability, he is a world-class player.”
Thiago suffered a long-term injury against Everton in the Merseyside derby in October.
It is never easy for any footballer to get straight back into form after an injury layoff, and Thiago is no different.
Moreover, the 30-year-old has not had the right players around him in midfield.

Jordan Henderson has had injury problems of his own this season, and Fabinho has been deployed in defence for much of the campaign due to the unavailability of Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez.
There have been moments when Thiago has done well, and the former Barcelona star also scored in the Premier League at the weekend.
Signed from Bayern Munich last summer for a transfer fee reported by Goal.com to be worth £20 million, the 30-year-old Spain international central midfielder has made 16 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool this season.
Meanwhile, Robbie Fowler has suggested that Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins would be a good signing for Liverpool.
The former Liverpool striker is a big fan of the England international, who has scored 13 goals and provided four assists in the Premier League this season.
Fowler write in The Sunday Mirror (9/5; page 65): “I’m not trying to sell Watkins, but he’s taken the step up every time so far, and I can see him doing it again. To the very top level, if he can keep the trajectory of his work rate, attitude and mentality.
“Interestingly, Jurgen Klopp absolutely sang his praises a few weeks ago and you definitely see someone with his pressing ability – and the stats to go with it – doing well under that sort of manager.
“And, believe me, clubs like City and Liverpool with their massive analytics departments will have run those stats many times already.”
