According to Ian McGarry on The Transfer Window Podcast, Liverpool have entered the race to sign Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard.
The 23-year-old has dominated Scotland for a number of years now, and has scored 20 goals in all competitions this season.
Since arriving in Glasgow from Paris Saint-Germain in a £9 million deal, he has netted 81 goals in 161 games, along with 35 assists.
That is simply stunning – it’s no wonder Jürgen Klopp is keen.
One man who knows Edouard – and Liverpool – very well is Brendan Rodgers.
The ex-Reds boss was the man who signed the Frenchman for Celtic, and he’s spoken glowingly of the 10-cap France Under-21 international in the past.

Back in 2018, Rodgers described Edouard as a ‘top class’ footballer as well as a ‘top talent’ – that comes as no surprise given his excellent goalscoring record.
The Glasgow Times quote Rodgers as saying: “He’s a top-class player. He’s a goalscorer. He’s different to Leigh (Griffiths), and Moussa (Dembele) was for us, but he’s a top talent.”
In our view, this would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool.

Edouard is able to play as a centre-forward, or cut in from the left as Sadio Mane tends to do.
He is also still young, with plenty of time on his side to get even better than he already is.
With Roberto Firmino slacking a bit this term, Klopp should definitely try to bring Edouard to Anfield.
