Martin Satriano has admitted to the Daily Mail that he is flattered to be linked with a move to Arsenal.

The Daily Mirror say that Arsenal want the striker, who is currently contracted to Inter Milan.

The forward hasn’t actually made his senior debut for Inter, but his performances in Uruguay caught the attention of Arsenal’s scouts.

It was just four days ago that rumours of a potential move to the Emirates Stadium started up.

And already Satriano has suggested that he would be keen on the switch.

“It is always flattering, yes, it is a sign that I am doing things well and that I have to continue down that path,” the youngster said.

“I try to use it as an incentive to keep working and be better every day.

“The Premier League is the No.1 league in the world in terms of competition, that I think all the players want to play, I think all the teams are very good.

“It is a very competitive league where any team can beat anyone. But for now I am totally focused on Inter and to do the best with them.”

Arsenal have had success with buying young South Americans in the recent past, with Gabriel Martinelli proving to be a bargain.

They also could be on the hunt for a striker at the end of the season, as doubts over the futures of both Alexandre Lacazette, Folarin Balogun and Eddie Nketiah all persist, heading into the summer transfer window.
