According to The Sunday Mirror (21/02, p73), Arsenal are interested in signing Inter Milan striker Martin Satriano.

It’s claimed that Satriano’s progress in Italy has been turning heads, and Arsenal want him – but so do London rivals Chelsea.

Satriano made a £2million move from Nacional in his native Uruguay in January 2020, and could be on the move again if Arsenal or Chelsea get their way.

Satriano, 20, has hit five goals in nine games at Primavera 1 level, but has yet to make his Serie A debut for Inter.

The Uruguayan talent looks set for a bright future, but has no senior experience having failed to play for Nacional’s first-team too.

At just over 6ft 1in, Satriano is well built for his age, and he may be seen as a striker for the future at Arsenal given question marks over Eddie Nketiah and Folarin Balogun.

Nketiah isn’t starting regularly and has just over a year left on his deal, whilst Balogun’s contract ends this summer and he could walk away.

Satriano does still have more than three years left on his Inter deal so may not come cheap, but Edu appears to have picked him out as a potential target this summer.
