Sergio Aurier’s future is now in doubt at Tottenham Hotspur, with Norwich City full-back Max Aarons on their wishlist to replace him, EuroSport suggest.
Aurier was brought back into Tottenham’s starting line-up against Chelsea last night, but he had caused some frustration after leaving the stadium at half-time in a recent game with Liverpool, after being taken off.
That show of frustration may apparently put his Tottenham career in doubt at the end of the season, with Aarons lined up as a replacement.
Aarons has been tracked by Tottenham for over a year now, with Spurs head of recruitment Steve Hitchen recently seen at Carrow Road.
Aarons, who was hailed as ‘outstanding’ by Aidy Bothroyd (Pink’Un), has been one of the standout full-backs in England for some time now, even after Norwich’s relegation last season.

The £20 million-rated youngster (Mirror) is a major attacking threat, and possesses bundles of energy.
Whether he is the ideal player for Jose Mourinho’s system remains to be seen though, as his major strengths lie in going forward rather than defending.
