Celtic have been repeatedly linked with a move for Eddie Howe as pressure surrounding Neil Lennon continues to mount

The Eddie Howe to Celtic speculation grows more intense by the day, and a new online poll shows fans of the Parkhead club are in favour of the move.
While there has been no concrete evidence to suggest Howe is on his way, rumours continue to circulate on social media and in WhatsApp messages, with many now convinced that the Englishman has been lined up as Neil Lennon’s replacement.
Protests calling for Lennon’s departure began in November following the 2-0 defeat against Ross County at Celtic Park, and the former midfielder has presided over a run of six wins in 20 matches.

In a season that was expected to end with 10-in-a-row being celebrated, the champions now find themselves 21 points behind Steven Gerrard’s Rangers side in the title race.
43-year-old Howe is currently without a club, having left Bournemouth by mutual consent in August 2020.
He led the Cherrie to the English Premier League in 2015, and kept them up for five seasons before they were relegated in 2019/20.
In a one-hour poll conducted on Twitter, 4,627 Celtic fans were asked to choose who they wanted as manager.
They were given a choice between Lennon, Howe and former Parkhead boss O’Neill, with an ‘Other’ option available for supporters who had alternative suggestions.

As reported by the Scottish Sun, Howe is currently favourite with the bookies, and O’Neill is in second place.
Hibs manager Jack Ross is in third, with Slaven Bilic and Roy Keane fourth and fifth respectively.
55.8% of fans chose Howe, with only 20.8% wanting Lennon to remain in the job.
Despite having won three league titles during his time as manager, O’Neill received just 10.4% of the vote.
13% came up with other options, the most popular of which was former RB Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick.
Shortly after the poll was conducted, Lennon delivered one of the most remarkable Scottish football press conferences of modern times.
