Liverpool, Manchester City and Leeds United are interested in signing Adama Traore from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window, according to Sport.

It has been reported by the Spanish publication that Wolves are not willing to sell Traore for anything less than €40 million (£35.53 million), and that the former Barcelona and Aston Villa winger himself is looking to move on this month.

Eurosport reported earlier this month that Leeds Director of Football Victor Orta wants to take the 24-year-old to Elland Road.

Sport’s claim that Liverpool and City are keen on the Spaniard this month seems to be fresh.

The Mirror reported in August 2020 that the Reds and the Citizens were interested in securing the services of the Spain international in the summer of 2020.

Good signing for Liverpool or Manchester City?

Both Liverpool and City have very good attacking units, and there is really no need for either club to bring in another player in attack now.

However, the Reds or the Citizens would have a better squad with Traore – described as “unplayable” by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in The Birmingham Mail in January 2020 – in it.

The winger is fast, threatening in one-on-ones and has experience of playing in the Premier League, and he would give Klopp or City boss Pep Guardiola a valuable option in the squad.
