Speaking on his YouTube channel, Football London journalist Alasdair Gold has shared what he knows about Tottenham’s interest in Eder Militao.
Spurs have been strongly linked with a move for the defender this month, and it has been reported that he will be available for €50 million (£44.5m).
However, Gold believes that the reports linking Tottenham with a move for the Real Madird man are wide of the mark.
Which City Would Have The Best Combined XI?
“I saw loads of stuff about Eder Militao, the young Real Madrid defender,” Gold said.
“You know, people are saying that Spurs are desperate to get him through the door, but I’m told that’s not the case.

“He’s a good player, probably not massively high on their priority list of players, but ultimately the squad situation doesn’t allow Tottenham to do these types of deals.”
This is a frustrating update to say the least.
Militao looked to be exactly the type of Mourinho wanted at Tottenham this month, after all, it had been reported that he wanted a pacey centre-half through the door, but it seems as though a deal isn’t on the cards.
Of course, in football anything can change at a moment’s notice, and some very reliable journalists believe that Tottenham are in for Militao, so we can’t completely disregard the idea of Spurs landing the Brazilian this month.
However, Gold is very well-connected at the club and he’s saying he’s not high on their list of targets, so it doesn’t seem to be a deal that is imminent.
