According to Corriere dello Sport, Jose Mourinho has called Real Madrid to ask about Eder Militao, ahead of potentially signing him for Tottenham.
The Italian news outlet state that the north Londoners are looking to loan the 6-cap Brazil international, with an option to buy the centre-back.
Corriere dello Sport add that Mourinho has been tracking Militao ever since his days at Sau Paulo, where he came through the academy years ago.
The 22-year-old eventually joined FC Porto, before making a £43.5 million move to Real Madrid.
He is a player of huge promise, although he is slightly stagnating right now under Zinedine Zidane.

The Brazilian has made just three appearances in all competitions this season – two in La Liga and one in the Champions League.
In that respect, an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu could be possible for Militao, in our view.
His talents have already been given the seal of approval from none other than Lionel Messi.

The six-time Ballon d’Or winner described Militao as a ‘fierce competitor’ and a ‘phenomenal talent’ in quotes provided by GiveMeSport.
What the Sertãozinho-born defender’s potential arrival at Spurs would mean for Davinson Sanchez remains to be seen.
The Colombian has fallen out of favour under Mourinho, making just five Premier League starts this season.
