Tottenham Hotspur are in Europa League action against Ludogorets tonight, as they look to continue a strong start to the season under Jose Mourinho.
Spurs sit top of the Premier League table as things stand, and fans are understandably ecstatic – and the players seem to be enjoying life too.
This week, it’s not even football that has put Tottenham in the headlines, as their cricket games at the club’s training facility have garnered major interest.
When not on the training ground or doing gym work, it seems that the Spurs players have been putting on small cricket games involving a number of players.
Dele Alli pulled off a stunning catch earlier this week, Joe Hart has been peppering Harry Kane with bouncers, and even Sergio Reguilon has been getting involved.
Some players have a cricketing background; Ben Davies turned out for Ynysygerwn in Neath, whilst Joe Hart played for Shrewsbury before turning to football.
England star Ben Stokes has now spotted the footage, admitting on Twitter that he ‘loves’ the videos and asked the Spurs players if they fancy going to the nets with him next summer.
Stokes suggested last summer that he is now a Tottenham fan having seen Spurs supporters celebrate his match-winning knock against Australia, before then being given a Spurs shirt – so it’s now only right that Hart and co go and face Stokes in 2021.
