Leeds United appear to be close to agreeing a deal to sign Rodrigo De Paul, if the reports in Messaggero Veneto are anything to go by.
While some of the Italian media have remained sceptical over Leeds chances of signing De Paul, the local press covering Udinese seem to think that a deal is a real possibility.
They claim that Leeds are still ‘hot’ on the chase of the Argentine, and they don’t seem far away from meeting Udinese’s asking price.
The Serie A side have apparently reduced their terms, and now want £27.5 million plus bonuses for their star midfielder.
It has already been reported that Leeds have made a bid of around that amount by Fanta Calcio, although their first offer did not include any add-ons. Correire Dello Sport also backed up these claims.
Leeds now may only need to work out bonus payments to get the transfer over the line.

Whether that will be possible remains to be seen, but the links continue to seriously excite Leeds supporters.
De Paul was one of the finest midfielders in the entirety of Serie A last season and there is a feeling that he be the perfect fit in Marcelo Bielsa’s system for the Whites.
