It has been reported that Leeds – who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship – have made an offer close to €35 million (£31.14 million).
However, Italian club Udinese want €40 million (£35.59 million) as transfer fee for the 26-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, according to the report.
The report in the Italian publication has claimed that Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani himself is involved in the race for De Paul and is leading the chase, and that the West Yorkshire outfit are serious about signing the Argentina international.
