League One sides Charlton and Coventry both want Villa star Hepburn-Murphy.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy is reportedly a target for League One sides Charlton Athletic and Coventry City this month as the striker struggles to get game time under Dean Smith – and Aston Villa fans reckon he should leave on loan.
The Sun on Sunday claim (January 6, page 63) that the 20-year-old is a target for both clubs, with both sides in the mix for the play-off places come May. Charlton are comfortable in fourth, while Coventry sit in eighth place.
Villa boast plenty of strikers in the form of Tammy Abraham – who remains on loan from Chelsea – as well as Ireland international Scott Hogan and versatile Jonathan Kodjia.
But Abraham could be reportedly set to leave the club just six months into his season-long loan spell. Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers want to lure Abraham to Molineux on loan, and a deal is expected to go ahead.
That would see Villa lose their second striker of the month already after Ross McCormack joined Motherwell on loan, and Hepburn-Murphy could make it three.

The England youth international has failed to feature under Smith since he replaced Steve Bruce. The latter had afforded Hepburn-Murphy five substitute appearances in the Championship, during Villa’s first six games.
The Villa academy product needs game time, and fans reckon it is the best option for the striker to go out on loan with two promotion-chasing League One sides looking to land his signature.
