Massadio Haidara is set to leave Newcastle on a free transfer.

French outlet Foot365 have claimed that Newcastle United defender Massadio Haidara is nearing a move to Ligue 2 side Lens this summer, as his contract looks set to run out at St. James' Park.
The 25-year-old has endured a difficult couple of seasons on Tyneside, after a long-term knee injury has prevented the former Nancy defender from breaking his way back into Rafa Benitez's side on a regular basis.

Indeed, Haidara managed just three senior appearances for The Toon during 2016-17, and then only two more last season with the likes of Paul Dummett, Javier Manquillo, DeAndre Yedlin and Ciaran Clark preferred to the Frenchman.
Newcastle have decided against renewing the defender's contract, which is set to expire on June 30. The Daily Star claim he is earning £20,000 a week on the sidelines.

Haidara confirmed on Instagram that he was leaving the club midway through last month and it now appears that Haidara has found a new home - albeit in the second division of French football.
Able to play on the left or the right side of defence, Haidara is set to sign a two-year deal with Lens with the option of another year at the club.
