Haidara’s Newcastle contract expires at the end of June.

Newcastle United defender Massadio Haidara has confirmed his imminent departure on Instagram by posting “thank you for everything”, with his contract set to expire.
The 25-year-old has not been given a new deal at St. James’ Park, with his current terms set to end on June 30 – a contract which the Daily Star claim is worth £20,000 a week.

Haidara has managed just two appearances this season under Rafa Benitez, after plummeting down the pecking order following a long spell on the sidelines through injury.
Now, he is set to leave the club at the end of the season, and has bid farewell to the Toon on Instagram which sees the Frenchman leave on good terms.
Joining Newcastle in January 2013 from French side Nancy, Haidara went on to make 54 senior appearances in black and white – 13 of which have come in the last three seasons.
The likes of Javier Manquillo, DeAndre Yedlin, Paul Dummett and Ciaran Clark have kept Haidara out of the senior side this season, and the defender will now be forced to look for a new home this summer.
