West Ham United are reportedly interested in the Newcastle United striker, but West Bromwich Albion should gatecrash the party.

Baggies boss Alan Pardew will surely be looking to bolster his squad in January, with his side currently deeply entrenched in a relegation battle.
One particular area where the 56-year-old will want to strengthen is his forward department, and he explained the importance of adding goals to his group, as quoted by the Daily Mail:
“January is not far away and we are going to have to look at that area if we can’t increase our goalscoring ratio.”

With this in mind, West Brom should consider a move for Magpies hitman Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has been linked with a move to West Ham United, according to the Daily Mail.
The 23-year-old striker is reportedly set for an exit from St James’ Park in January, with Rafa Benitez apparently willing to sanction his exit for somewhere in the region of £10 million, in a bid to fund a spending spree of his own, according to the Mirror.
Mitrovic would be ideal for the Baggies, what with his superb aerial ability, and his clinical finishing. He would be the ideal strike partner for either Jay Rodriguez or Salomon Rondon, and would add a certain level of aggression to West Brom’s front-line.

The Serbian international has struggled to establish himself on Tyneside, but it could be argued that he has never really been given an opportunity to prove himself on a regular enough basis.
A move to the Hawthorns would provide Mitrovic with a new lease of life, and if Pardew does manage to bring him to the club, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Baggies.
