Hammers forward Marko Arnautovic spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s superb 1-0 win over Chelsea today, and dedicated the victory to the club’s loyal fanbase, claiming that nobody can beat West Ham when their fans are right behind them, as quoted by WHUFC.com.

The east London outfit’s win took them level on points with 17th placed West Brom, and everything all of a sudden seems a lot rosier at the London Stadium, although David Moyes’ men must not rest on their laurels, if they are to avoid relegation.

Arnautovic was one of the stand-out performers for the Hammers today, bagging his first goal for the club in the process, and his display silenced many of his critics, who had accused him of being an overpriced prima donna.

“I’m feeling fit and I trained hard and try to get the best out of myself and then, when I take that into the game and it works out, I feel good. It felt great for our fans because they deserve it and for us, as a team, it’s amazing to get a win. For myself, I scored and we beat them, so it’s an amazing feeling that I cannot describe. I don’t want this to be my last goal. I want it to be the first one of many. I just wanted to celebrate with them and I want to give back to them because, when the fans get behind us and cheer us for 90 minutes, they are unbeatable, I think. Nobody can beat them. When they are behind us and we are on the front foot, nobody can beat us as well.”

Next up for West Ham is a home game against Arsenal on Wednesday night, and if they can emulate today’s performance against Chelsea, they will have every chance of beating the Gunners.
