Aston Villa are currently sitting inside the play-off positions.

Villa owner Dr Tony Xia sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and opened up on a wide range of topics, including the points target that he set Steve Bruce’s team.
The west Midlands outfit have enjoyed a relatively successful Championship campaign thus far, and currently sit in fourth position in the table.
Bruce’s side really struggled last term, finishing in 13th spot in the table, so this season has brought around a rather pleasant shift in the atmosphere emanating from Villa Park.

The Chinese owner has been a major driving force behind Villa’s attempts to bounce back to the Premier League, although he has often been criticised for the manner in which he interferes with first-team affairs.
The 41-year-old is undoubtedly passionate, however, and a harsh taskmaster.
Xia sat down for an interview with AVFC.co.uk, and shared the points target that he set the Villa players:
Dr Tony Xia
“I think it’s fine to say that we didn’t start as well as we expected this season. But after the close of the transfer window, we have been getting better and better. We set a target of two points every game to achieve automatic promotion and for the last few games we have been hitting that target.”
Next up for Villa is a trip to west Yorkshire to take on Leeds United on Friday night, and a victory will be of paramount importance to their hopes of keeping pace with those above them in the table.
