Aston Villa currently trail Wolverhampton Wanderers by nine points.

Villa boss Steve Bruce addressed the media following his side’s comfortable 2-0 win over Ipswich Town yesterday, and discussed whether or not his team are capable of catching run-away Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.
The west Midlands outfit currently sit in fourth position in the table, but are a distant nine points adrift of Nuno Espirito Santo’s rampant Wolves side.

Bruce’s team are in the midst of a fine run of form that has seen them win four of their last five league outings, but unfortunately for them, their Midlands rivals are on an even better run.
And when speaking to reporters, the Villans manager admitted that Wolves are steamrolling everyone at the moment, although he did insist that there is still a long way to go, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail:

“Wolves are steamrolling everybody at the moment aren’t they? They are the ones to catch but we’re not even halfway through yet. December is usually a big month and we’ve got some big games.”
Next up for Villa is a trip to Leeds on Friday, before they welcome Millwall to Villa Park the following weekend, and a return of six points from those games will be vital if they are to remain within touching distance of the Molineux side.
