Wolverhampton Wanderers ran out comfortable winners over Bolton Wanderers yesterday.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo addressed the media following his side’s impressive 5-1 win over Bolton Wanderers yesterday, and opened up on a conversation he shared with Trotters manager Phil Parkinson in the aftermath of the match, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The Black Country outfit currently sit comfortably top of the Championship table, four points clear of second placed Cardiff City, after their impressive return of 44 points from the 19 league games that they have played thus far.

The Portuguese deserves great credit for the manner in which he has galvanised the Wolves squad, after their underwhelming campaign last term.

Wolves manager Nuno Espírito Santo looks on during the pre-season friendly match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City at Molineux on July 29, 2017 in Wolverhampton, England.

He has exuded a certain aura of calmness all season long, up until yesterday, when both he and Parkinson were banished to the stands after reacting to David Wheater’s challenge on Jota.

And Nuno addressed the situation, when speaking to reporters, insisting that the matter is now finished, after speaking with Parkinson, as quoted by Wolves.co.uk:

Nuno Espirito Santo, the Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Wolverhampton and Bristol City at Molineux on September 12, 2017 in...

“The referee stepped in and did his job and it is finished. What happens on the pitch stays on the pitch. I spoke with Phil after the game and we had a good talk and it is sorted – there is no problem. I am sorry, I am part of society and I respect every single human being.”

Next up for Wolves a trip to Birmingham City a week tomorrow, before they welcome Sunderland to Molineux the following Saturday, and a pair of wins would take them to the magical 50 point mark after just 21 games played – a tally that would leave them in a fantastic position from which to gain promotion back to the Premier League.
