Wolverhampton Wanderers were reportedly close to signing the forward in the summer.

PSV Eindhoven manager Phillip Cocu addressed the Dutch media today and claimed that this season will be vital for Jürgen Locadia, if he is to develop into a player who can make the step up to be good enough to play in another league, as quoted by Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf.
The 24-year-old was linked with an €11 million (£9.8 million) switch to Wolves in the summer, according to Tutto Mercato Web, but he eventually ended up staying put in Holland.
The lively forward has been exceptional for the Eredivisie outfit so far this season, scoring nine goals in 12 league outings for his club, and helping his side establish an eight point lead at the top of the table.

And the Black Country outfit received a boost in their hopes of signing Locadia today, when PSV’s manager Phillip Cocu hinted to the Dutch press that the 24-year-old could very well be set for a move to another league, as quoted by De Telegraaf:
“Actually, Jurgen must make the final step this season. For himself, in his personal development. In order to have enough luggage to enter an adventure into another competition. But I prefer, of course, that he will stay another five years.”
Nuno Espirito Santo has undoubtedly taken Wolves forward as a football club since his appointment as manager at Molineux in the summer.
And if he manages to bring in someone of Locadia’s quality, there could be even more exciting times ahead for Wolves fans.
