Tottenham Hotspur continue to struggle in big games away from home.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media ahead of his side’s disappointing defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates today, and addressed a question asking him what his side need in order to reach the next level, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.
Tottenham now sit 11 points adrift of Pep Guardiola’s rampant Manchester City side in the Premier League table, and the title already seems to be beyond them, with just over two thirds of the campaign remaining.
The Lilywhites’ away form against the league’s top six sides must be a concern for the Argentine, with his team lacking guile and nouse when they travel to their direct rivals.

Pochettino rejected the notion that his side are not good enough in big away games, however.

The 45-year-old addressed the media during his post-match interview and highlighted four keys areas where Spurs need to improve, if they are to make a sustained challenge for major honours, as quoted by Football.London:

“We need many things. We need to win trophies, we need to build a new stadium, we need to build a good squad, we need to build with young players. That’s all part of it.”
Next up for Tottenham is another big away game, this time in the Champions League, at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, and Pochettino will be expecting a big response from his beleaguered troops.
